Creating in my dining room makes me happy. A while ago I made about 8 suncatchers with glass beads and lots of crystals. During the day when it is sunny, I get happy giggles of light dancing around the room. Seeing these happy giggles of light, nurtures my heart and soul.
This room may seem a little more crowded now that I have moved my extra large drafting table into this space, but I like being involved in the action. I love being able to sit down at a whim and pick up something to play with, I like that I can have some moments before dinner is ready to sit and play if I want. I love that I can watch the colours change in the backyard, or the rainbows dance around the room. I quess if everyone else doesn’t mind being crowded with colours, the table will stay.
Here’s to Living more Creatively

I signed myself up for a 60 day fitness challenge. 3 x a week, monday – wednesday – tuesday from 6:30 am to 7:30am. I started october 19 and it goes until Dec 11th. Today it kicked my ass.(actually it does that everytime I go), I think there is about 12 – 15 other woman in the class with me, along with our trainer. I have to admit I am not keen on waking up that early, and heading out all groggy only to run around, lift weight, use resistance bands, push ups, sit ups, etc, etc. I do admit that I think it is good for me, that I am learning to have discipline. This is not my favorite class I have signed up for, it is though the class that pushes my physical limits.
Since I have quit smoking 4 months ago, I realized a month or two in that I needed to find a way to deal with my stress(smoking used to help that), so I immersed my self into classes at the local rec centre. I signed up for Power yoga, Nia and Belly fit, as well as going to Taoist Tai Chi classes offered at the church about 5 houses down the street from me.
I am looking forward to seeing the end results of the Fitness Challenge – I have never done anything like this before. I am also so very grateful that I have the opportunity of learning Tai Chi right down the street from my house. I love the softness and the grace found in the subtly complex moves taught in Tai Chi. Learning Tai Chi has been on my list of “things to do”. I am exited as wellto continue my journey as a yogini – did I mention I LOVE yoga(I only wish I had kep tup with it for all those years I was in the city). As for belly fit, I think of it is as exercise with a smile ( plus I love how it makes me sweat without really seeming like a workout), and will most likely continue with it for a little while longer.
Along with all those classes I was drawn to start “The Artist’s Way“. I was given the book years okay, and did not do anything with it, I think I might have even given it away. Lately though, I have come across a few signs that led me to go and borrow the book from the Library. I am only on day two, but as with my fitness challenge, I am learning to finish those things in which I start.
My goal is to be a better, improved ME!

I have been busy cleaning up the yard, painting the house, and finding time to create. I am glad to say that the house is almost all painted;let me clarify that, the Outside of the house is almost all painted, (I still have lots of painting inside to finish). Finally Finishing one large project we started this year (early June 09), has made me extremely giddy. I will update you with pictures tomorrow.
Renovating and living in a house at the same time can be quite demanding on ones peace mind. The upside to living in a house your renovating , is that you will never be bored. The downside side is – you’ll find your creative time is taken up renovating a house.
I have managed to move my art making space from the basement to the dining room, which I love because of the wonderful light it gets throughout the day, and how accessible it is to me. Here’s to making more art, here’s to expanding, growing, loving and learning the creative process (and balancing the renovating a house at the same time).
As promised the before and after pictures of the new house color.

Take in the first breath of the sunrise, and watch the glory unfold…
breathe in the colours, of a painter deft at miracles…
I would be the painter…I would take the job of painting the clouds..for others…
I would paint with every stroke..a miracle to the human eye…
I would paint with every stroke new experiences…
I would paint with every stroke – Light…
I would paint… and leave no trace…
I would paint…and leave only a memory….
I would paint…and leave a longing…
I would paint to become…
I would paint to know…
I would paint to feel..
I would paint to explore…
I would paint to adventure…
I would paint to listen…
I would paint you…
I would paint us…
I would paint – Love….
Can I paint for you?
Can I inspire you?
Can I be your miracle..
